"Once upon a time there was a tree.
Someone burnt all its leaves. The sky was smoky.
A bird flew over the waters and made its nest in the burnt tree. She brought over a green twig.
Next day, the bird flew off and brought a new green leaf. She did that for many days, until one morning, when the tree was all green.
Now, that was a good home for her babies"

How are you all doing? We are doing everything possible to keep in touch with friends near and far, even from behind the walls of our home.
We are starting an art journal. We would love to invite everyone to contribute to it - we welcome all ages and all forms of art: poetry, prose, music, visual arts, multidisciplinary projects - sky is the limit. We will accept entries even if they have been previously published and we will acknowledge the first publisher.
Whenever possible, we will also like to follow up with a short interview, to find out more about the artists and their work.
Our journal is named after a short story written by a (then) 7 year old. Looking back, it's almost like a premonition. My daughter could not possibly predict the times to come but it feels almost like she has seen into the future; like she has seen the smoky skies with ashes flying around, the fires, the burnt trees and the regrowth that followed. She drew it quite eloquently too.
